About our Lamps

Our range of brass traction engine lamps are all handmade to an extremely high standard in the UK. They are manufactured to between 4" and 6" scale of the original lamps produced in the early 1900's, which makes them ideal to suit a vast range of steam vehicles, whether you own a steam traction engine, steam lorry or steam railway locomotive.

All of the lamps are made from 0.7mm thick brass sheet and have a glass bezel lens except the 'Sarum' which has a plastic lens. There is choice of finishes either polished brass or black with a polished brass bezel.

Accessories & Packaging

All lamps come with an LED light which is inserted on a removable tray which slides in through the side door, however the LED for the 'Sarum' is held inside the lid and inserted through the top of the lamp.

Oil burners are available as an extra, also on a slide in tray.

All lamps come in a foam padded presentation box.

Custom Lamps

The Traction Engine Lamp Company can also make full sized lamps for steam traction engines, steam railway locomotives and other steam vehicles.
